Ten of Cups — Rider-Waite tarot card

CUPS

Ten of Cups

HARMONY · FAMILY HAPPINESS · FULLNESS · EMOTIONAL FULFILLMENT

Upright

A couple with open arms beneath a rainbow of ten cups, children dancing beside them — the Ten of Cups upright is the card of complete happiness, of a home in harmony, of the feeling of being at peace with those you love. It's the crown card of the Cups suit — the culmination of everything Cups represents: union, emotional abundance, fullness. Upright, it tells you that you've found, or are about to find, that sense of being home within your own life. The couple isn't without challenges — they're choosing to face them together, hand in hand, looking in the same direction. The children dancing beside them are living proof that this harmony belongs not just to the two of them — it overflows to everyone who lives within it.

Reversed

Reversed, the Ten of Cups is the feeling of disconnection from those you love, or from work that should fulfill you but doesn't. It asks you to invest real effort where love already exists — a conversation, a gesture, an invitation to come close again — instead of waiting for harmony to appear on its own. (…)
