Upright

Death almost never speaks of literal death — it speaks of the necessary ending that must happen for a new beginning to exist. Upright, it signals that a cycle is closing, and resisting it only drags out the discomfort. The armored knight has no face because the transformation he carries doesn't choose who it reaches — it comes for everyone, at some point. It's time to release what no longer serves you — a phase, a belief, a way of being — to make room for what comes next. The transformation can frighten you, but it always carries a larger purpose. Nothing that truly strengthens you ever really disappears — it just changes form.

Reversed

Reversed, Death is resistance to change — clinging to what has already passed, even knowing it no longer serves. It can be fear of the unknown keeping you locked in a phase that should have already ended. (…)
