Upright

The Knight of Swords charges straight into the wind, sword raised high, his horse at full gallop beneath a sky swept by fast-moving clouds — he is the most determined of all the knights, moving with an ambition that leaves no room for hesitation. Upright, he signals decisive action, the pursuit of a goal with laser focus, using logic and intellect as his primary weapon to achieve what he sets out to do. He can also bring sudden news, the kind that arrives fast and shakes whoever receives it. In relationships, he tends to be someone difficult to pin down — he thinks with his head before his heart, and while he is direct and honest, commitment may not come as easily as that initial passion.

Reversed

Reversed, the Knight of Swords is impulsivity without direction — decisions made too quickly, without weighing consequences, thoughts scattered and unable to organize into a coherent plan. He can also represent someone aggressive or cruel, using intelligence to steamroll rather than to persuade. (…)
